I specialise in Painting, Decorating & Wall Papering. Decorating takes patience, concentration and a lot of preparation! Preparation is the key to a great finish.
I’ve been painting and decorating for 6 years and offer a wide range of services and problem-solving. Carryout interor and exterior work. Carry out repair and renovation work to traditional plasters, solving mould growth problems, stains from water leaks and many more.
I hang wallpaper both hand printed, traditional and woodchip to both ceilings and walls
Some ideas to help
There are a great many things that affect the colour of a room, light, direction of the light, the hight of the room. The type of light, artificial or natural. Think of the Textures and of course your personal taste.
The first and most traditional style of decorating is to use rich colour on your walls and white on the woodwork and ceiling, creating contrast and feeling of freshness.
Choose one single colour for your whole room giving a sense of calm and simplicity, making your space feel bigger.
In a twist, try painting a darker shade on your trim – paired with paler walls, it allows the larger surface above to seem instantly lighter and airier.
A useful tool
This is a great tool, visualizers. These apps are available on your phone and tablet and allow you to preview what a colur could look like. Here is a link to a Dulux visualiser I’ve used in the past: https://www.dulux.co.uk/en/mediapainter
These very high walls allowed for the use of some bold paint. Farrow and Ball paints where used in this tradition Georgain house
This was new to me, self adhesive wall paper. Peel off the back and stick to the wall. I have to say that for the cost and the work involved I wouldnt recomend it. Traditional wall paper is much easier to use and cheaper
